Adam Castle
Campaign Director of Venture Services
Windsor, Ontario
I've spent my entire life thinking about how to make an impact on my community. In grade school, I started the first peer teacher-student lead mediation group in our district to help solve schoolyard problems and build bridges towards compromise (Is my inner nerd showing yet? haha)
In Highschool, I started my first business at 15, turning my passion for music and community into a business that employed over 60 part-time students at its height, and when sold, helped me pay my way through university.
✅I've worked in detention centres and group homes with high-risk youth.
✅Taught sailing and lead a cabin as head councillor for a summer camp in Northern Ontario.
✅Was a recipient of The United Ways 40 Leaders Under 40 awards for the Windsor-Essex Region
✅Have worked on countless boards and committees (Okay not countless, but well north of 20!)
✅Worked with hundreds of businesses on growth strategy, market-entry, and business model reinvention, from the smallest of startups to industry leaders, and everything in between.
As varied as my experience has been, the thread that connects all of my work has been "impact." How do I leave this world better off than when I found it? How do I elevate the people in my life so that their voices carry farther and fall on the right ears? How can I use my skills and privilege to help empower and embolden those who simply need the right tools to renovate their worlds in colossal ways?
So that's who I am at my core. I love family, nature, exercise, books, learning, and above all else, the people and places that make up Windsor-Essex & Chatham-Kent.
Thank you for taking the time to read more, I look forward to getting to know you better too!
