AN ACTIVE RETIREMENT

I am currently enjoying an active retirement after 41 years in consumer products, facility management, broadcast, and sports & entertainment. Twenty-eight of those years I served as president of 6 companies. Helping grow such iconic brands as Colgate, Kool Aid, Hostess, Pillsbury, Green Giant, TSN, Raptors and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

My best selling book Dream Job is now is still available in ebooks. The book covers my leadership journey over my entire corporate career. It discusses in detail my successes, candidly my failures during my career. MY new book "21Leadership Lessons" is also available online. Leadership lessons from my successes, candidly my failures and my
many discoveries along the way.

When I retired from MLSE, the board and my many friends raised $750,000 for the Richard Peddie Leadership initiative (RPLI). Currently I am the Leader in Residence at the Odette School of business at the University of Windsor. That involves teaching leadership courses to all class years, and working closely with the Dean on other initiatives like the eight annual Georgie-Odette Leadership Symposium (GOLS)that will next occur November 15 2019 Our goal is to create Odette grads who will be successful 21st century leaders.

I give numerous speeches to business and community groups and universities on topics ranging from leadership to city building.

My Foundation supports city youth, the Toronto Wildlife Centre, the Essex Regional Conservation Authority (ERCA) and the university of Windsor among others.
